Oregon, Here I Come

Summer has definitely arrived here in North Carolina. It’s hot. It’s humid. It makes me glad that I’m heading to cooler temperatures on Wednesday!

I’m pretty excited about the upcoming 4 weeks that I’m spending in Oregon. I usually spend a week or two out there each year visiting my family, but this year I’ve added a few things to my Oregon docket.

First up: Cannon Beach with my husband, Aaron. We are so looking forward to unplugging for a few days. Then, we’re driving to Eugene to spend the 4th of July with my parents. After that we head up to Portland to see friends and attend the World Domination Summit (#WDS). (I’m giving a workshop there this year – yay!)

As soon as #WDS ends, Aaron catches the red-eye back to North Carolina and I’ll get to work on final preparations for the 3-day workshop on marketing that I’m co-facilitating at the Summer Institute for Intercultural Communication (SIIC). I attend SIIC a few years ago and LOVED it (it’s worth every penny), and I’m honored to be part of the faculty this year. And spending a week with Candice and Ann Marie, my co-facilitators? Awesome.

I’m spending my final days in Oregon in Eugene with my family. I’m looking forward to catching up with my parents and couple friends, as well as being a tourist in my hometown, which is celebrating it’s 150th birthday this year!

What are your plans for July? If you’ll be at #WDS or SIIC, let me know!
